Me (calling a friend's roommate's cellphone in attempts to meet at the movie theatre because said friend doesn't have one at the moment): Hi - it's Lanii. N's friend.
Roommate: {silence}
Me: Hello?
Roommate: {astounded} Hi! I'm in the theatre.
Me: Ok...well, I'm running a bit late. Just wanted to let you know.
Roommate: Ok. It's so weird though.
Me: {annoyed sigh} What's weird?
Roommate: I thought cellphones didn't work once you were inside the theatre.
Me: Uh...what?
Roommate: You know. So they don't bother other people. "Turn off all cellphones".
Me: Yea. Ok. Uh...see you in a bit.

Reluctant Housewife (RH): I hate doing the dishes.
Chores-Fulfill-Me Housewife (CFMH): How is that possible?
RH: They never end. It's like one of Dante's levels of Hell.
CFMH: What? That doesn't sound Biblical.
RH: It's not.
CFMH: Do you have a window over the sink you can look out of?
RH: Yes. And that does...what?
CFMH: It makes it more enjoyable.
RH: Yea, maybe if I was a cat.
CFMH: I find it adds some atmosphere.
RH: It wha...No, it doesn't. It's horrible. I'd rather be dead.
CFMH: You could put some music on.
RH: You're not understanding me: I would rather sell my body on the street corner to make extra money for maid service than hand-wash dishes in one sink.
CFMH: Oh...........I still don't get it.
