The New York Moon, a project of mine and a number of others, has released an issue.
The Moon is a collection of articles exploring space, time, technology and the intersection between science and the occult.
Incarnations have included a séance, an entry in a museum guestbook, and a one-off performance in an abandoned subway tunnel.
But most of all, we’ll be publishing here on Tumblr.

Our story, is the story of the universe. Every piece of everyone, everything you love, everything you hate, and the thing you hold most precious, was assembled by the forces of nature in the first few minutes of the life of the universe. Transformed in the hearts of stars, or created in their fiery deaths. And when you die, those pieces will be returned to the universe in the endless cycle of death and rebirth. What a wonderful thing it is, to be a part of that universe—and what a story, what a majestic story. — Brian Cox (via eternal-armistice)
What a sad, terrifying idea. Trying to romanticize Materialism is senseless at best and madness at worst. We are so much greater, so much grander and intrinsically worth so much more than stars and have been given a far better future than to disappear into the inanimate universe when we die.

I keep posting to the wrong blog because Tumblr won’t let you change your primary blog account but I don’t want to change the name because then I lose all you creepers who never let me know who you are but definitely read my blog because I’m totally not just mumbling down the dark tubes of the Internet.
But you know what? I’m not a professional blogger. I knew that even before I read the 15 Reasons You’ll Never Have an A-List Blog.
So who cares if my posts are sporadic and topically wishwashy? Not me. Not you three people who I know for sure read this.
Guess I’ll have to get my 15 min somewhere else, eh, Warhol?
USB typewriter? Yes, please. Dress up your new gadgets as vintage.
Whoa.
Methinks Jamie would like this!

That I’m Tumbling at alanamusing.tumblr.com which I wanted to call Amusing - get it? But someone else had it.
And now you know the long and sordid tale of how I named my new main Tumblr.
Epilogue
Tumblr does not allow you to change your main blog which is a huge pain because I send my posts to my Facebook and now I can’t do that without changing the name of this to Alana Musing which I was trying to avoid doing.
Not cool.
I will, however, at least for the time being, be linking to this blog from there. Or maybe I’ll just get my Internet tubes tied.
In an effort to make a smoother transition, I will be leaving this tumblr, Lanii Be Good, up but will now post at
Please follow me there and adjust your internetz accordingly. I’ll shoot out a few reminders every now and then :)
Thanks and sorry for any confusion!
